I got into the saltwater fish/reef hobby around year and half ago. it all started one saturday after walking into Unique and seeing the amazing aquariums they have. the staff is incredibly nice and always willing to answer my questions. this was not the easiest hobby to get into (in regards to expenses and knowledge) and i dont think i could have done it without the help of Unique's staff. great selection of fish/corals. weekly orders come in so there are always new livestock. This place is a "happy" pet/pet supply store!
We got our beardie here a few years ago, and we've been coming back ever since. The staff and owner here are wonderful: extremely knowledgeable, and warm, yet professional. The animals at Unique Aquaria & Reptiles are well cared-for by the staff, and everyone here is clearly a dedicated expert in their section of the store. There's a great selection of food, lamps and animals, and whether you're getting filters, pinkies or a new pet(congratulations!), folks here will let you know everything you can expect.
And even when they're busy, they still ask how our beardie is doing.
Really can't say enough good things about this place.

"This is definitely the best aquarium/fish store in Boston. They have a great selection, reasonable prices, and are extremely helpful! I went there on a weekend and did not have to wait for more than a couple of minutes to get help. I have been to some other stores in the area - some places have good selection but not good service. Other places are the opposite. But Skipton has the best of both worlds in my opinion. The owner and staff are also active in the Boston Aquarium Society which is a really good sign"
